The winter break has gone and only a few days keep us from the start of the first race weekend of FIA CEZ Championship. As usually it will take place on Hungaroring – this year together with FIA WTCR World Cup.
Several teams have changed the technique before start of this season. Among them was the Polish Olimp Racing, whose driver Marcin Jedlinski took last year’s title in the D4 + 3500 class. Poles exchanged his Porsche for the latest spec Audi R8 LMS. The same car will be driven also by his father Stanislaw. With new cars will show up also Micanek Motorsport, Croats Zeljko Drmić, Jakub Kubas, Vaclav Nimc jun., Milovan Vesnić or Slovak Brutalfish Racing.
On the contrary, Richard Chlad jun, with his father or team around Robert Šenkýř, will stick with the same cars as last year. Promise of very interesting races in Hungary will certainly bring the participation of the family clan Konopka.
We can expect an Italian concert where the first violin will be played by Andrea Cola or Paolo Brajnik in F3 class. But can not forget Bart Mirecki, who shone so much in Hungary last year. Fans are surely looking forward to see the new Renault 2.0 Formula of Tomas Chabr, who raced with smaller monoposts in the past.
It will be very interesting to watch the Porsche Förch Racing team in the endurance race. Robert Lukas, who excelled in Brno last year, is going to be behind the wheel. Plans for the victory of Porsche Förch Racing will try to diminish not only many BMW cars, but also a pair of fast-paced youngsters Záruba and Formánkem or for example father and son Chlad.
The first zone points will be awarded this weekend, so stay with us on our website or Facebook!
