TCR, three letter that mean big things in touring car world. Numbers of new manufacturers, drivers and teams in many TCR championship around the world grows very fast every year. There are also drivers who are going to race in TCR International Series which we knows from FIA CEZ series.

That’s the case of the Slovak Mato Homola. He was fifth last season in TCR International Series and aiming for more this year. Now he is switching from Seat to Opel in team DS Sport.

“I’m extremely excited to be back competing in the TCR International Series, which I consider to be one of the best and most competitive touring car series.”

“On top of that, I’m delighted to be part of DG Sport, an experienced team that claimed the 2016 TCR Europe title. Because of that, I believe in the huge potential of both the team and the brand new Opel Astra OPC TCR developed for 2017. My thanks to the TCR management as also the DG Sport Compétition team for this opportunity. I am fully determined to return the favour by clinching some new victories,” said Homola who dominated 2011 FIA CEZ in D4 -2000.

Well known Milovan “Mikica” Vesnić is going to race in TCR as well. Vesnić conquered FIA CEZ D4 -2000 spec last season and he is switching from Seat to brand new Audi RS3 LMS which he will drive in TCR International Series European Trophy.

According to mozzartsport.com Rudolf Pesović should take a seat of RS3 LMS in sprint races of FIA CEZ. Him and Vesnić also should race together in endurance races of FIA CEZ.

“TCR is the next step for me and my team. We are a small team, but we have a lot of experience,” said Vesnić.

”My family has been involved in motor sports for more than forty years and we are not afraid to fight with the world’s top teams and drivers. Our main goal in 2017 is to present ourselves and and our country at our best in TCR International. For the time being we have already the budget two-three events, but we are working hard to take part in all the five European rounds plus the final in Adria,” he added.
