Marcin Jedlinski was one of the debutants in FIA CEZ Championship on the Hungaroring in April. He competed quite well as he collected very nice fourth place in overarall clasification in first sprint of the season.

“The FIA CEZ race was my debut and first-time start in a GT3 car in an individual time trial. I liked the race itself, even if it wasn’t very good. There are a few fast racers in the pack, with whom I want to compete. As for today, I am planning to start in a further 2-3 FIA CEZ racing weekends,” said Polish driver.

Many fans are also happy with brand new car in FIA CEZ championship. It’s Porsche 991 GT3 R but it was clear choice for Jedlinski.

“The car choice was a clear issue for me, for several seasons I’ve been participating in the Porsche brand cup, and this is one of the reasons that I have chosen a Porsche vehicle. In addition, we participate, together with Olimp Racing and Forch Racing by Lukas Motorsport in the 24H Series races using these vehicles, and this influenced the choice of this car as well.”

Jedlinski don’t race only in FIA CEZ or 24H Series. You may know him also from Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Central Europe. However what’s the main difference between cup car and GT3 car?

“That’s right, as I said, I have been racing for several seasons using Porsche Cup cars in the Porsche GT3 CCCE. The differences between the cars are enormous. The GT3 R is a stronger vehicle, and thanks to advanced aerodynamics, the car is much faster on turns, it also has many more systems supporting the driver, such as a multi-tier ABS, TC, etc. The Porsche Cup car does not have such extensive electronics, it’s much more Spartan and less foreseeable. The shift from the Cup car to the GT3 R car required a few material changes to the driving technique itself, the braking method, etc. I am currently doing a crash course on the new vehicle, and I believe that with every new race the pace will be much better,” said Jedlinski.

And how the future looks like for Marcin Jedlinski?

“In this season, I am primarily focusing on learning to ride a GT3-class car, and each position on the podium among these FIA CEZ drivers will be satisfactory for me. I also participate in other racing series, where my goals are much more precise. However, I would certainly like to continue driving both the Porsche Cup car as well as compete with other GT3 drivers.”
