Veni, vidi, vici or I came, I saw, I conquered. You could talk about this season title of Marcin Jedlinski even in that way.

Arrival of the Polish racing team Olimp Racing into the central European Racing Championship was very diversificate from it’s first outing. It was first after a long years when driver started with GT3 spec. of Porsche race car. On top of that it was with championship crown.

But it wasn’t that easy. Just look at the results of the first race of the season which took place on Hungaroring. First race with third place but in the second run Jedlinski was way down the order in eight place.

Jedlinski celebrated his first win on home soil in Poznan. Another two wins add on Pannonia Ring when he breaked the track record as an extra.

Richard Chlad was his closest rival but these two wins from Hungary was decisive because Chlad didn’t start there.

“I am very happy with the results achieved this season. This was for me and the team very demanding period. The championship title for the Porsche GT3 CCCE was the priority, but at the same time I debuted behind the wheel of GT3 car starting in the FIA CEZ,” said Jedlinski at first.

“We knew from the beginning that it would not be easy to reconcile the start of the two competitions. We used two different classes of vehicles. Although both cars are based on the Porsche 991 road car and appear to be similar, they actually differ from each other in driving diametrically. Racing weekends time schedules sometimes required jumping from one car to another in a minutes. So I had to switch to completely different braking moments, another racing line and the driving style of my competitors. Under such conditions, the error is not difficult.”

“Luckily, we finally managed to finish in top of each race and maintain the number of points necessary to win the overal title, which makes me even more joyful that on the track especially in the Czech Republic, there are many fans for whom together with my rivals we have the opportunity to perform real racing shows from time to time. At present the plans for the 2018 season crystallize. There are some changes, but everything looks very promising,” said new D4+3500 champion.
