It would be difficult to find a more solid connection between a Czech racing team and race car division of a prestigious car company than Robert Šenkýř has with BMW Motorsport. The team owner – manager – driver had been more owner – manager during last few years but Robert Šenkýř got in the drivers seat full time this season and celebrated the Endurance title.
The road to the title started at Hungaroring where Robert with Jakub Knoll finished second after Slovak father – son Malcharek team in another BMW M6. The points for first place in D4 +3500 came in RedBull Ring where Robert shared the car with Slovak Sladečka.
There was another driver change in Most. This time Robert shared BMW Z4 GT3 with Daniel Skalický and picked up points for first place again.
Robert raced double shift in Slovakia and Brno sharing his two BMW GT3 – new M6 and older Z4. He finished third and fourth on Slovakian tarmac but celebrated victory with Jakub Knoll in Brno and third place with Daniel Skalicky.
Endurance title of Robert Šenkýř was sweeten up by second place in overall classification and endurance vice-chamion title of his team colleague Daniel Skalicky.
Šenkýř Motorsport could celebrate the 2017 FIA CEZ top class D4 +3500 Endurance with first and second place. Congratulation!
