The FIA-CEZ season is going to climax in Brno

By Monday September 3rd, 2018Races

Is has become some sort of a tradition – even this year, the FIA CEZ series is going to climax at Brno Circuit. Some may say that the event in Brno is not the last one of the whole seasons, but it is safe to assume that the championship will be decided in Brno because only few racers are expected to come to Skopje, Macedonia.
As seen in Slovakia, almost all of the top racers from central Europe will be there. Circuit racing fans are bound to experience a great weekend packed with intense duels – both in sprints and in endurance races.

Within the most powerful category D4 – above 3500 ccm, we expect to see tight competition among ten GT3 cars. Two Audi R8 LMS are also ready to have another big fight with each other as it has become customary throughout the whole season. The newer one will be tamed by Marcin Jedlinski, while his opponent Richard Chlad jun. is going to try his luck with older specification.

The BMW drivers are ready to showcase their skills as well – especially Jakub Knoll, Štefan Rosina and let’s not forget extra-experienced Miro Konopka. However, the drivers with cup Huracáns will not wait at the back and do their best to get the top positions. In all the previous races, these drivers showed us that the latest evolution of Lamborghini Huracán Supertrofeo Evo is a cutting-edge vehicle.

It has been some time since we had an adrenaline packed formula battle. The races in Croatia and Slovakia just did not cut it. However, Brno is going to welcome the entire line up of central European elite. Therefore, a great fight is expected among the biggest rivals – Cola, Brajnik and Zeller, followed by Mirecki, Magyar, Chabr, Sus and Netušil. Pay close attention to young Václav Šafář who is having his first race in Formula 3.

Saturday evening is reserved for endurance racers. One-hour race will be attended by more than 30 specials so it is very hard to predict anything. We may only estimate that Olimp Racing team’s (from Poland) attempt to take the lead will definitely clash with similar ideas by Aleš Jirásek who rides fast Praga or by Šenkýř Motorsport or ARC Bratislava.
